Can you recommend an Advocate to me?
The Law Society cannot recommend individual Advocates or Practices; however, a directory is produced and regularly updated and can be accessed by clicking here.  You can also search for an Advocate via the type of work undertaken.

How much do Advocates charge?
Each Practice of Advocates has different charge rates depending upon the type of work involved; we recommend you speak to Practices individually. A directory of Practices is available by clicking here.

What are the conveyancing charges for Manx Advocates?
Practices will provide quotes on request.

Why must I instruct a Manx Advocate?
There are a number of areas of Manx Law that can only be dealt with by Manx Advocates such as: Litigation, Probate, Conveyancing.

How do I find Advocates that will undertake legal aid work?
You can search for an Advocate that will undertake Legal Aid by clicking here. Simply select “legal aid” in the drop down list of legal specialty  and hit the go button.

How do I make a complaint against an Advocate?
